Welcome to my Voice Studio!

Music is an enormous part of my life and it should be a part of yours! I believe that learning to sing or play should go far beyond the immediate technical learning. It has to tell a story, and specifically it can tell your story.

I love fanging full voice singing. I run a vibrant studio for private students on Sydney's Lower North Shore in Lane Cove specialising in contemporary voice and music for theatre, offering one-on-one lessons in Voice as well as Keyboard

I offer private coaching and small group sessions in Contemporary Singing particularly. My classes are a bit quirky, a bit silly, collaborative and fun.

Whether you are starting out in singing, looking to audition for a course, explore a song in depth or just build your skills and musicianship, all levels of experience are catered for and first time singers are always welcome.  

A bit about my teaching practise

Initially trained as a music educator, my teaching practice blends music and musicianship, theatre, acting and storytelling

At a tertiary level, I have coached and music directed at NIDA, AMPA, Federation University (Ballarat Arts Academy), the Victorian College of the Arts, Monash University (Centre for Performing Arts), National Theatre Drama School (Cert III and Diploma courses)

Actors I have worked with include Kerry Armstrong, Amy Lehpamer, Mike Mcleash, Ray Chong Nee and Michael Cormack

In secondary vocals and choirs, I teach at Northern Beaches Christian School and Frensham and previously at Sydney Grammar School (College St and St Ives Prep), SHORE School and North Sydney Boys High School preparing HSC repertoire school in music theatre, contemporary voice and classical voice

In song writing and devised opera i’ve worked with young people all over Australia, from Hobart to Karatha with companies like Opera Australia, Wot Opera and Opera Express, developing new short operas with primary and high school students.
